Green Beans with Macadamia Nuts

This recipe is a simple way to add something fresh to your menu. The green beans cook quickly, just until they’re crisp tender. Then the addition of fresh lemon juice and toasted nuts add great flavor.

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped macadamia nuts, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

In a large skillet heat oil and butter over medium heat. Add green beans, season with salt and pepper. Continue to cook, tossing occasionally, until green beans are crisp-tender, about 5-8 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons chopped nuts, parsley, and lemon juice. Serves 4.

NOTE: Other nuts can be substituted- pine nuts, almonds, pecans, walnuts, or hazelnuts.
