Crab Spread with Cocktail Sauce
Using homemade cocktail sauce is the secret to this easy but impressive spread. I think it’s equally good with real crab or the more economical option of imitation crab.
- 1 cup catsup
- 1 or 2 tablespoons creamy horseradish
- Juice from 2 lemons
- 1 8 oz block of cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Dash hot sauce
- 8 oz crab meat or imitation crab meat
- Chopped fresh dill for garnish
Combine first three ingredients to make cocktail sauce and set aside. Place cream cheese in serving dish, sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce. Spread crab meat over the cream cheese then pour cocktail sauce over the crab. Garnish with chopped fresh dill over the cocktail sauce. Serve with crackers.
